At Landscape Lighting Guys, we want to make sure that you are fully comfortable and satisfied with the products and services we provide. It’s understandable that you may have questions going into a project, or even after we have installed your custom landscape lighting. Q1. WHAT’S THE BEST WAY TO CONTACT LANDSCAPE LIGHTING GUYS?

Q2. DO YOU CARRY GENERAL LIABILITY & WORKERS COMPENSATION?

ANSWER: Yes, and we take our responsibility for your property and our workers safety very seriously. Feel free to ask us for a copy anytime by emailing us at info@LLGuys.com.


Q3. HOW LONG HAVE YOU BEEN IN THE LIGHTING BUSINESS?

ANSWER: Matt Wooldridge and his knowledgeable team have been in the lighting business since 2008. Outdoor LED lighting was a service that we always saw a lot of value in when we were in the landscaping business. So much so, that Matt decided to sell off his landscaping business to solely focus on lighting. Now landscape lighting services are all we focus our attention on.


Q4. DO YOU OFFER ANY WARRANTIES ON YOUR SERVICE OR FIXTURES?

ANSWER: Yes we do! We offer a free year of service with your landscape lighting installation. Labor and materials are included in this warranty. After the first year, your landscape lighting fixtures, bulbs and transformers are still covered by a lifetime warranty and replacement of the products is free. There is a $125 service fee to cover the trip charge and labor. This number is capped and will not be exceeded.


Q5. WHAT IF WE AREN’T HAPPY WITH LANDSCAPE LIGHTING FIXTURES THAT WERE INSTALLED?

ANSWER: Landscape Lighting Guys offers a 100% buy back guarantee on all stocked fixtures in the first 30 days. If you purchase one of our house fixtures and you're not completely happy with the fixture(s) or the installation and you have given us an opportunity to make it right, we will happily refund you 100% of your money and remove the system. The buy back does not apply to special order fixtures.


Q6. DO YOU OFFER SERVICE CALLS?

ANSWER: Yes. Our current service call fee is $125 which includes a $50 trip charge. The service call fee covers your first hour of service. We will diagnose any issues with your lighting and if time and budget allows we will fix the issue(s). The price per man hour after the first hour is $75/man hour.


Q7. WHAT TYPE OF PRODUCTS DOES LANDSCAPE LIGHTING GUYS INSTALL?

ANSWER: Our house fixtures are made of high quality brass. We prefer these landscape lighting fixtures because of their durability. They age well, and we can offer a lifetime warranty on these fixtures. We do have alternative options such as painted black aluminum fixtures. While these are high quality fixtures they just don’t stand up as well to the elements. They can’t take the abuse such as an accidental kick from someone walking through the beds, the finish doesn’t hold up if exposed to the sun and rain long term, and the warranty is only 10 years.


Q8. DO YOU OFFER ANY DISCOUNTS?

ANSWER: Yes, we offer a 5% discount to all military, first responders and healthcare workers for our landscape lighting services. Please bring this to our attention before your final invoice.


Q9. DO YOU OFFER SUBDIVISION DISCOUNT PRICING?

ANSWER: Yes. We offer a 10% neighborhood subdivision discount. A minimum of 5 houses is required. Contact your neighbors!


Q10. DO YOU REQUIRE A MINIMUM ORDER FOR MY LANDSCAPE LIGHTING INSTALLATION?

ANSWER: Yes. Our minimum order for a new installation is $450.00. We do have some customers inquire about adding a light to their flagpole or a single light installation for a subdivision entrance.


Q11. ARE THE LIGHTS CUSTOM TO MY HOUSE?

ANSWER: Yes. For us, everything is about detail, consistency and custom delivery. That’s why we choose landscape lighting fixtures specifically for different areas and applications of your house and/or property. Custom landscape lighting is what we do best.


Q12. ARE THE BRIGHT WHITE LEDS THE ONLY WHITE LEDS YOU CARRY?

ANSWER: We wouldn’t dare! We carry a WARM WHITE LED (2700k) bulb that is very comparable to the traditional incandescent bulb. We also carry many other outdoor LED lighting options including color changing outdoor fixtures for different holidays and events.


Q13. CAN I PICK THE SHADE OF COLOR?

ANSWER: Yes. You can pick any shade of white for your house that you prefer. Our most common outdoor LED lighting bulb colors in order of preference are 2700k, 3000k and then 4000k. If you are interested in a color changing outdoor lighting system, please inquire about the many different options we have. We do include a one hour learning session with our color changing systems. 


Q14. IS THE LIGHTING SYSTEM SET UP ON A TIMER?

ANSWER: Yes. All transformers will include a timer. Some options in order of preference are: dusk to dawn photocell timer, mechanical timer, digital timer and a WiFi timer.


Q15. DO I NEED TO BE HOME ON THE DAY OF INSTALLATION?

ANSWER: No. As long as our installers have access to a working receptacle then customers will not need to be present for the landscape lighting installation.


Q16. WHAT DO I NEED TO DO IF I DO NOT WANT MY LIGHTS RUNNING AFTER A CERTAIN TIME AT NIGHT?

ANSWER: Please let us know your preference and we will set your timer accordingly.


Q17. ARE THERE SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS TO GET A QUOTE STARTED?

ANSWER: Nothing specific is required but we would recommend you to have an idea on budget. While we do understand that this can change throughout the process, this will allow us to design a landscape lighting installation that is more inline with your desired budget. We definitely do not oversell our customers on ideas that do not bring value to their job.


Q18. WHAT PROCESS DO YOU USE TO BID EACH LIGHTING JOB?

ANSWER: While in some areas it might be obvious on how to light it up, it’s getting light into those tricky places that separates us from the other companies. Our vision, imagination and expertise is what allows us to come up with the ideas to get your job done professionally. Our attention to detail throughout the process is also something that we take great pride in doing.


Q19. WHEN IS PAYMENT DUE?

ANSWER: Upon acceptance of the estimate, we will send you an invoice for a 50% down payment which will cover the cost of your materials for the job. The final payment isn’t due until the completion and satisfaction of your lighting project.


Q20. WHEN IS THE BEST TIME TO CONTACT US REGARDING A QUOTE?

ANSWER: We accept quote requests any time! Spring, summer and early fall are our busiest times and the best time to take care of your landscape lighting project. We do have a holiday lighting company that consumes quite a bit of our time from October 1st through February 1st so please expect delays at that time. We are very sorry for any inconvenience this may cause.


Q21. WHAT DOES LANDSCAPE LIGHTING GUYS DO IN THE OFF-SEASON?

ANSWER: As mentioned in the previous question, we offer holiday lighting through our sister company Santa’s Elves Holiday Lighting & Decor, LLC. The holiday lighting season is actually the busiest time of year for us. While we are always working throughout the year servicing our landscape lighting customers, the additional work we take on during the holiday lighting season makes it difficult for us to take on a large volume of new landscape lighting installation projects. Please bear with us!
